Mr. Carver is the Director of Acquisitions for Glenwood Student Communities. In this capacity, he is responsible for sourcing redevelopment and ground-up development student housing opportunities.
Prior to joining Glenwood Student Communities, Mr. Carver was the Senior Due Diligence Analyst for Orchard Securities/Omni Brokerage, the largest broker dealer in the tenant-in-common (TIC) industry. Mr. Carver structured and underwrote $580M of TIC offerings, note offerings, opportunity funds, and LLC offerings. Before Orchard Securities, Mr. Carver was the Manager of Strategic Transactions for Federal Realty Investment Trust, an S&P MidCap 400 company (NYSE: FRT) with a portfolio of over 18M square feet of mostly high-end retail. Mr. Carver was responsible for the underwriting of over $400M of acquisitions, $36M of dispositions, and $118M of financings/refinancings. Prior to Federal Realty, Mr. Carver was the Senior REO Asset Analyst for Criimi Mae Services Limited Partnership (NYSE: CMM) a mortgage REIT which was one of the largest B piece buyers in the CMBS market. At Criimi Mae, Mr. Carver assisted in the asset management and disposition of over twenty foreclosed properties consisting of hotels, multi-family housing, office, industrial, and retail properties. Prior to Criimi Mae, Mr. Carver started his career as a Commercial Real Estate Loan Specialist in the Commercial Real Estate Securitization Department at Zions Bank (NASDAQ: ZION) based in Salt Lake City, Utah.
Mr. Carver has a bachelor’s degree in economics with a minor in Chinese from BYU and holds Series 7 & 63 licenses.
